I've been going through my wardrobe and I'm ashamed to say there's a lot I've never even worn and quite a bit I'd completely forgotten about.  I've set myself a task to wear it or get rid of it.
I bought the dress above for 99p on Ebay.  It was advertised as a "Vintage 70's kaftan silk lined kaftan dress."  It's chiffon with silk lining and what appears to be spray on glittery flowers.  I think

I borrowed this red and silver sequinned number from Mrs Jones Emporium, I thought it would look alright with a pair of shorts.  I bought something similar on Ebay before Christmas but it's a bit of a turkey.  I shall be showing you some of my Ebay buys for a while as I'm not spending, most of them are successful. Hope you don't all nod off.

I've been terrible at blogging recently.  After we all had an enforced break last week when Blogger went down I've been out a lot and found it hard to get back into.  Funny how you can break habits so quickly.

Me too Errol, I've always been appalling with money.  I absolutely have to cut down on spending because I love the freedom I have in my life now.  God forbid I have to get a "proper" job.  I'm not motivated by money and never have been.  I can never understand how I manage to spend so much.

I say new, I've had this weeks but forgot about it as it had fallen into the abyss of one of my wardrobes.   I was walking through Islington chatting on the phone to the wonderful Vix at Vintage Vixen and out of the corner of magpie eyes I saw this hat glinting at me in Accessorize.  I don't buy much in shops but I like the gold lurex mixed in with the straw.  It has a lovely sparkle although

I've always wanted a Porter's chair.  I've been looking for a bargain one for ages.  There was a really tatty pink velour one with a few rips in it on Ebay a year or so ago.  I faffed about it for so long I ended up missing it.  It finally went for £80 which pissed me off.  Mind you it needed completely recovering so would have probably cost a fortune.

On Saturday night we went to our great friend Benedict Wong's Mad Men party to celebrate his 40th Birthday.

A day of presents and surprises

It's been such a dull day in London today.  It has not stopped pouring with rain since I got up at 9am, early for me I know!  I've run lots of errands today and keep getting wet even though I have an umbrella. 
I saw the vintage Eighties jacket above on Jill's blog.  I have nothing spangly and patterned, although I do own a lot of sequinned numbers.  I would never pay the asking price of £400!
