The Emmy Awards: The Show

Overall I say the show was really good, entertaining, with many bits that made the show feel fresh, starting with the opening musical number with host Jimmy Fallon, the cast of Glee, Joel Mchale, Tina Fey, Betty White, and some more, and Ricky Gervais celebrating The Office been sold to syndication by offering alcohol to the audience.
There were some moments the show started to drag and by the final moments they rushed the show a bit to end it on time, and of course there were some unexpected winners like Kyra Sedwick over favorite Julianna Margulies, but
it was one of the best ceremonies in a really long time.

Kathy Griffin tweeted this photo of herself and Kristin Chenoweth after they both lost
at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards this past saturday, the gals known now as "Cheniffin" both left empty handed at the ceremony held in Los Angeles;
Kathy was nominated in the category Outstanding Reality Show for "Kathy Griffin: My Life On The D-List", the winner was the Ryan Seacrest produced "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution",
while Kristin lost to Betty White in the Outstanding Guest Actress In A Comedy Series category, the Broadway and television star was nominated for her guest role in Glee.

All in all, this is the funniest pic I've seen in ages!!!

NPH 2 Time Emmy Winner

This past saturday in Los Angeles Neil Patrick Harris won the 2 awards he was nominated for at the Creative Arts Emmys in the categories for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series and for emceeing the 2009 Tony Awards, for which he was recently added as a nominee thanks to The Times writer Chris "Boomer" Beachum less than 2 weeks ago, when Beachum notify the Academy of Harris' omition, a fact that was aknowledged by Harris on his acceptance speech, when he said:

"I want to thank Boomer from the Envelope who told me I was even eligible for this award!"

Neil still has one more nomination and is once again the favorite in the category for Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series at The Primetime Emmy Awards for his portrayal of the delusional and womanizing Barney Stinson in the CBS comedy show How I Met Your Mother, the ceremony will be brodcast live on sunday August 29.
