My big night out

As I'm still on my economy drive I was lucky that pretty much everything I wanted to do this week were on the same night. 
First I met my friends Stephen Beresford, who's a brilliant writer, and the lovely stylist Richard Sloan aka Sloanie in Mayfair to help choose a 40th Birthday present.  Stephen very kindly treated us to cocktails in the bar at The Connaught afterwards.

Last night I went to the preview of Karlie Shelley and Princess Julia's new place The Amwell Street Knocking Shop.  A fantastic pop-up shop open until Sunday 26th June selling vintage and archive clothing by their friends and lots interesting things from their personal collections.

Last night I went along to my friend Christos' club night, Spanish Fly at Albert and Pearl in Islington with the ever lovely Jo Butler and Daisy Beaumont.  We had a right old catch up.  Here's a few of my snaps.  I wish they were as good as Kitty Walker's pictures of the venue above!

I also had to cancel going to my gorgeous friend Christos Tolera's new club night Spanish Fly which  I'd planned to go to on the way home from Lulu's and take anyone I could from Harvey Nicks with me.  
Instead I'm posting a gratuitous modeling picture of Christos!  I'm sure no one will mind!  So sorry I missed you darling, I promise I'll come next week xxx

Back to the Eighties

After posting pictures of hats yesterday, I remembered a few other clubbing pictures from the early Eighties, some featuring some rather fabulous headgear.  The pictures are from the Blitz and the Camden Palace.  I love the way everyone made a such huge effort with their clothes and make-up.  I think they all look amazing.  I wish people still dressed up like this
