The last time we borrowed our friend's house in the South of France we drove to Spain which was only an hour to the border and went on a little road trip.  One of the places we visited in Catalonia was Salvador Dali's amazing house and garden, Port Lligat in Cadaques where Dali lived from 1930 until 1982.

He had a thing about eggs.  I was going to try and
